I haven’t posted in more than two months — how embarrassing! No, nothing terrible has happened. And no, I haven’t decided that I hate the outdoors and don’t want to go adventuring anymore. Instead, I’ve just been…otherwise occupied. That’s right — I got a job.
A real, proper full-time job.
“But Kristen, didn’t you say you were over the 9-5 life?”
Why yes, reader, I did say that. But you know what I like even more than excessive free time? Money. I like having money. It helps me buy food and gas and kitty litter.
“What about freelancing?”
Don’t worry, I’m still doing that! But here’s the thing — I found an awesome job. I’m a copywriter for a startup marketing agency!
“Kind of like what you do in your free time for your blog?”
Yes! Exactly like that, except so much more. Tons of clients, a variety of work and tons of new experience. It’s busy, it’s exciting and it’s a lot of writing, which is probably why blogging has taken a backseat these past few months. And to be honest, getting back into the groove of a full-time job after taking an extended break took a little while. But now I feel like I have a better handle on my schedule, my workload and my personal life.
Finally, I can mentally wrap my head around blogging again!
Which is good because I’ve been pretty busy these past few months enjoying the indian summer Colorado has been experiencing. It’s been solidly in the 60-70s through mid-November! Crazy…but perfect for hiking. And oh yes, I’ve been hiking 😉
So there you have it — why I’ve been MIA.
And now, back to your regularly schedule photo posts.
